Epic Tunes is more than a website, we get involved with new music!

On Saturday the 5th of August Epic Tunes attended the Jester Entertainment ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition in Harrow, Middlesex. As part of the judging team Epic Tunes were treated to a ‘rock fest’ of young musical talent. We witnessed five fresh faced bands all playing for the top prize of a day in a recording studio and an annual membership as an Epic artist at Epic Tunes.

Each of these bands were bought together by a rock workshop put together and managed by Jester Entertainment. Within five days one group of young musicians became five rock bands each performing songs from some of the worlds best known groups. The magnificent efforts of the musicians and all the teachers at Jester Entertainment made for an impressive night of live music.

After 3 hours of rock music ranging from The Kinks, Nirvana, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns ‘n’ Roses it was time for the judges to retire and make that all important decision. For us this was such a tough decision and took much deliberation with the other judges before we could come to a final verdict.

After much reflection and consideration all judges came to a unanimous decision. In joint first place came ‘High’ and ‘Migraine’. These are two very young bands at a high technical level with the potential to progress further and we wish them all the best for the future.
